Job description

We are looking for an Oracle support (not EPM) with GL, hierarchy knowledge, ideally some AP/AR or Projects experience. This is for BAU work to ensure codes are set up and maintained, queries are dealt with promptly. Good excel skills are needed to support data requirements. Understanding of quarterly testing etc This will suit someone with an eye for detail that appreciates routine systems tasks, checks for month end etc., * Business Partners and Financial Planning) for the authority to ensure ownership and accountability is maintained against the company's budgets and financial activity.

  • To support the Team Leader - Oracle Cloud Support in undertaking an review exercises to ensure that the users in EPM & ERP are correctly set up, with reporting lines and levels of access and authority reflecting the company's requirements, schemes of delegation and segregation of duties.
  • To support the maintenance of the financial system, including updating, creating and end dating codes in the financial system in conjunction with service areas requests, to support the statutory requirement for reporting. To undertake this, with the SERCOP rules in mind and following approval processes for new codes.
  • To take responsibility as directed for reconciling the company's staffing establishment and ensuring that this is fully reflected within the company's financial systems and aligns to the appropriate budget holders. (EPM support task).
  • To support the monitoring of the financial system interfaces, as well as maintaining systems and processes for all income and expenditure.
  • To ensure that new users in the ERP are set up, and existing users are reviewed and disabled to reflect the changes to employees and agency.
  • To prepare system statistical data as directed by the Team Leader - Oracle Cloud Support.
  • Be fully conversant with the company's General Ledger and Financial Information systems and be able to assist other members of Corporate Finance in accessing and interpreting this information.
  • To maintain an up to date working knowledge of the Authority's Creditor, Payroll and Income systems, in order to be able to resolve queries.
  • To assist with and respond to any investigations and reports of the Internal Audit Section and External Audit, as directed by the Team Leader - Oracle Cloud.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the work and grading of the post as directed by the Team Leader - Oracle Cloud.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical accounting?, * Proven experience in corporate accounting within non-profit or governmental sectors preferred.

  • Strong background in technical accounting
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting software such as Oracle.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger management.
  • Familiarity with tax experience related to Wills, trusts & estate law is a plus.
  • Experience with auditing procedures and internal controls is highly desirable.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial concepts such as cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, private equity considerations, and financial management strategies.
  • Excellent analytical skills combined with strong communication skills for effective report writing and presentation of financial data.
