Job description

We are seeking a talented and innovative Web Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visually appealing, user-friendly websites that align with our brand identity and business objectives. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop engaging digital experiences, ensuring seamless functionality across various devices and platforms. A strong understanding of both aesthetic design principles and technical development is essential to deliver high-quality web solutions that enhance user engagement and optimise performance., * Design and develop responsive websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap, React, and Angular.

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups employing tools like Adobe XD, Figma, Balsamiq, Axure, and InVision to visualise concepts effectively.
  • Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and optimise content for search engines using analytics tools like Google Analytics.
  • Maintain and update existing websites built on content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, and SharePoint.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to enhance website usability and user experience (UX).
  • Collaborate with developers to integrate back-end functionalities using PHP, Python, Node.js, SQL, MySQL, and other relevant technologies.
  • Utilise Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign) for graphic design and multimedia content creation.
  • Ensure websites adhere to accessibility standards and follow information architecture principles for optimal user navigation.
  • Perform website maintenance tasks including troubleshooting issues, updating content, and implementing new features as required.
  • Analyse website data using tools like Google Analytics to inform design improvements and optimise user engagement strategies.

Requirements

Do you have experience in WordPress?, * Proven experience in digital design with a strong portfolio showcasing responsive web design projects.

  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS/SASS), JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular, and front-end development best practices.
  • Familiarity with content management systems including WordPress, Drupal or SharePoint.
  • Strong graphic design skills with expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and other Adobe Creative Suite applications.
  • Experience with UX/UI design principles along with wireframing and prototyping tools like Figma or Balsamiq.
  • Knowledge of SEO optimisation techniques combined with data analysis skills using Google Analytics or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of usability testing methodologies and information architecture concepts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects efficiently.
