Job description
- Act as the Networks Senior Authorised Person and Assessing Officer.
- Manage all operational network activities up to 132kV.
- Managing all network access and authorisations.
- Lead in the development of the businesses Distribution Safety Rules and standard operating procedures / codes of practice.
- Deliver the businesses asset management and inspection regime on time and on budget.
- Complete quality assurance checks of works completed and rectify any quality issues identified.
- Ensure safety management throughout all responsibilities.
- Responsibility for delivery of all construction, maintenance and fault works to time, cost and quality.
- Support and provide operational support to field staff.
- Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements for the safe delivery of projects work.
- Liaise with and manage relationships with our customers to meet their expectations wherever possible.
- Complete out of hours safety/emergency response (Standby).
- Engagement in new Connection, Operation and Maintenance Agreements (COMA) and have oversight of associated contractor activities.
Requirements
- Senior Authorised Person (SAP) as defined by the Distribution Safety Rules - Preferably up to 132kV, with understanding of network design and operation from 400V to 132kV.
- Project and contract Management Experience.
- Educated to a minimum HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with operational knowledge of electrical distribution equipment.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively at all levels and work well within a team.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, MS Project and other bespoke software packages.
- A strong understanding of Health and Safety and Environmental Legislation, CDM standards and focussed on safe working.
