Job description
- Design, develop and maintain ETL pipelines to support enterprise reporting and analytics.
- Work across the Azure data stack (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake) to build scalable, reliable data solutions.
- Develop, enhance and optimise data warehouse structures to support business intelligence needs.
- Build visually compelling and insightful Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Support data quality, governance, and documentation best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer within complex corporate environments (insurance experience highly desirable).
- Strong hands-on expertise with ETL development and data integration workflows.
- Solid commercial experience across the Azure data platform - particularly Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks (nice to have) and Azure SQL.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling, and optimisation techniques.
- Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX, data modelling and best-practice dashboard design.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with business stakeholders.
