Job description

We are seeking a talented and motivated EC&I Design Engineer to join our innovative robotics team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving in challenging environments and contributing to cutting-edge industrial automation projects. You will be involved in designing bespoke electrical, control, and instrumentation systems for a range of industrial robotic applications, including robotics, laser operations, and glovebox systems. Every system we work on is unique, offering the chance to tackle complex engineering challenges and make a real impact on project outcomes., * Design, develop, and document EC&I systems for bespoke robotic installations.

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical, instrumentation, and control systems into robotic platforms.
  • Produce detailed wiring diagrams, control schematics, and layout drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and safety regulations.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of robotic systems.
  • Contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical, Control, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, control systems, and instrumentation.
  • Experience with designing bespoke EC&I systems in complex or challenging environments.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., CAD for electrical schematics, PLC programming, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to work, with a passion for tackling unique engineering challenges.
