Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled CyberSecurity Engineer to join our dynamic IT security team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding our organisation's digital assets by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures.   • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security weaknesses.
  • Analyse security breaches to determine their root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security measures into new and existing systems.
  • Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices to ensure ongoing protection.
  • Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reports.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Cybersecurity?, * Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering or related roles.

  • Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and encryption technologies.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or CIS Controls.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation purposes.
  • Experience with cloud security platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex issues swiftly and effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-specialist stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are advantageous.
