Job description

We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable IT Technician to join a high-achieving secondary school in Manchester. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a dedicated technician eager to support a busy school environment with modern digital learning needs.

Role Responsibilities

  • Providing first-line technical support to staff and students
  • Managing and troubleshooting hardware, software and classroom devices
  • Supporting the school network, user accounts and Microsoft 365 systems
  • Maintaining IT asset logs, assisting with upgrades and installations
  • Ensuring smooth running of AV equipment, printers and classroom technologies
  • Maintaining cybersecurity standards and data protection compliance

Requirements

  • Previous experience in IT support (school experience desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, Office 365 and basic networking
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Relevant qualification (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) desirable
