Job description

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Data Manager to support a forward-thinking school in Nottinghamshire. This is a brilliant opportunity for an analytical, organised professional to play a key role in ensuring smooth data operations that directly support student success.

Data Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage student data across school information systems (SIMS/Arbour or similar).
  • Maintain accurate records, attendance logs, assessments, reports, and timetables.
  • Produce data analysis, summaries, and reports for senior leaders and teachers.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and uphold strict data security standards.
  • Support staff with data-related queries and provide system guidance when needed.
  • Monitor deadlines for submissions, census returns, and statutory reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with the admin and leadership teams to streamline processes.

Requirements

Do you have a sharp eye for detail, a love for spreadsheets, and a talent for keeping information accurate and accessible?, * Previous experience working with school data systems (SIMS, Arbour, Romcom, etc.)

  • Strong IT skills, especially in Excel and data handling.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational efficiency.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and confidence supporting staff members.
  • Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, and GDPR responsibilities.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
