Fullstack Engineer (React Python)

Were looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join a cross-functional hedgehog lab team building and scaling a recently relaunched AI-powered learning platform.

The platform has just gone live with new functionality and is entering a rapid growth phase to stay ahead of strong competitors.

This is a chance to own an independent workstream shape technical direction and collaborate with senior engineers delivery and product. You will be expected to contribute ideas and solutions not only code.

What youll do

• Lead your own work stream across React (front end) and Python (back end and APIs).
• Turn broad problems into clear plans and deliver working features.
• Suggest improved approaches and solutions that add value.
• Collaborate with product delivery and principal engineers on roadmap and technical direction.
• Optional : Join occasional in-person collaboration sessions usually in Newcastle or Manchester no more than once a month.

• Strong commercial experience with React and Python.

• Ability to work independently define tasks ask the right questions and deliver results.

• Full stack mindset confident moving between UI APIs integration and deployment.

• A proactive communicator who enjoys working with others to shape solutions.

• Bonus : experience with AI-driven or data-rich products.

• Level : Senior or Principal-equivalent. We care more about impact and independence than years of experience. Ways of working
