Job description

We are looking for a skilled Linux Systems Administrator to join our Infrastructure Managed Services Team, supporting Dematic Software's customers across mixed on-prem and cloud environments.

You'll work across Linux (RedHat/CentOS), VMware, AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and modern monitoring tools. The role involves project delivery, infrastructure deployments, performance monitoring, and 2nd/3rd-line support across geographically dispersed environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and support infrastructure for new and existing customer sites

  • Manage Linux (RedHat/CentOS), virtualisation (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)

  • Maintain and improve monitoring using Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus

  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and handle customer communication

  • Apply updates, patches, and security controls

  • Collaborate with internal teams and escalate complex issues when required

  • Contribute to knowledge sharing across the team

Requirements

Essential

  • Strong Linux Administration (RedHat/CentOS)

  • Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible

  • Cloud knowledge (AWS/Azure/GCP)

  • VMware administration

  • Good networking fundamentals (Firewalls, Switches)

  • Fluent English + strong communication skills

  • Valid driving licence + willingness to travel

Nice to Have

  • Windows Server knowledge

  • ITIL awareness/certification

  • 3+ years in Systems Admin / DevOps / Infrastructure Engineering roles
