Job description

Skills: Software Engineering (Java/ Python/ Ruby/ Go/ Kotlin/ .NET etc), AI Literacy, Best Practices, Product

This is a chance to join a team where engineering and product thinking go hand in hand. As a Software Engineer here, you won't just be writing code - you'll be shaping how the product works, solving complex problems, and contributing to decisions that influence millions of users. From day one, you'll have genuine ownership and the freedom to experiment, explore and innovate.

You'll be part of a tight-knit group of engineers, designers and researchers building tools that help make the internet safer - all in an environment that values autonomy, curiosity and high-quality engineering.

What You'll Do

  • Build and ship high-quality, scalable features that solve real user problems
  • Work across the stack - frontend, backend, infrastructure - as an expert generalist
  • Collaborate closely with users and cross-functional teams
  • Use AI tools (LLMs, copilots, agents) to improve developer experience and product capabilities
  • Prototype fast, iterate often, and contribute to product strategy

Requirements

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and sound architectural judgment
  • Experience delivering user-ready, maintainable codebases
  • Curiosity about users, not just code - you think like a product person
  • Growth mindset: you seek feedback, learn quickly, and lift others up
  • Comfort working in product-led, collaborative environments
  • AI literacy - confident using and adapting modern AI tools

Benefits & conditions

  • A globally impactful product with a clear mission: making the web safer
  • A culture of openness, autonomy, and radical candour
  • Real ownership and influence in what gets built
  • Excellent rewards: share options, private medical, 8% employer pension, income protection, 25 days holiday + BH
  • Flexible hours and a genuinely healthy work-life balance
  • Regular social events, summer/winter parties, and a down-to-earth, supportive team

If you're a thoughtful engineer who values impact over output, and you want to do the best work of your career in a high-trust, high-care environment - we'd love to hear from you.
