Job description

We're looking for an experienced Change & Transformation Consultant to join our growing capability. You'll work at the heart of multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver sustainable organisational change that enables our clients to adapt, transform, and thrive in an evolving digital landscape.

Change & Transformation Consultants at V1 guide organisations through the full change lifecycle-from understanding the current state, co-creating desired outcomes with clients, through to delivering and embedding lasting transformation. You'll work across a range of transformation initiatives including implementing new ways of working (such as agile, product management, or DevOps), managing AI adoption and governance, supporting the introduction of new digital services, and helping organisations build resilience and adaptability.

You'll collaborate closely with product managers, service designers, user researchers, business analysts, technical leads, and senior stakeholders. Your role is to ensure that change isn't just designed but successfully adopted-building capability, addressing resistance, and creating the conditions for transformation to stick., You will work on a range of high-profile transformation projects, which could be in a range of sectors including education, training, social care or the criminal justice system. Examples of the projects you could be working on include:

  • Implementing agile ways of working: Supporting a government department to transition from waterfall project delivery to agile product management, including upskilling teams, redesigning governance, and building new rituals and practices
  • AI adoption and governance: Leading change management for the roll-out of AI-powered tools in schools, including developing adoption strategies, addressing concerns about job impact, and implementing responsible AI policies
  • DevOps transformation: Helping a public sector organisation adopt DevOps practices, including cultural change, new team structures, and capability building for continuous delivery
  • Digital service implementation: Managing the organisational change associated with new digital services for vulnerable families-including process redesign, training for front-line staff, and change impact on multiple agencies
  • Organisational resilience: Supporting local authorities to build more adaptive and resilient ways of working, including introducing networked team structures and distributed decision-making
  • Product management capability: Building product management maturity in organisations new to this approach, including defining roles, establishing roadmapping practices, and coaching leaders
  • Service transformation impact: Assessing and managing the organisational implications of new education services-including impacts on teacher roles, administrative processes, and inter-agency collaboration
  • Regulatory change: Supporting the Teaching Regulation Agency through changes in data handling requirements and AI-assisted decision-making, ensuring compliance whilst building staff confidence and capability

What we can offer your career

A supportive culture and ways of working

We lead with kindness, empathy and curiosity. We believe good teams are built on trust, psychological safety and shared purpose. We're committed to creating a no-blame culture, where people support each other, take pride in their work, and lift each other up. We value strong team bonds just as much as strong outcomes.

We're building an environment where everyone feels safe, respected and valued-especially people from marginalised or underrepresented communities. We actively welcome diversity of background, identity, experience and thought. You'll be supported to show up as yourself, contribute fully, and grow your career in a way that works for you.
