Job description
We are seeking an ambitious GIS Technician to lead our mapping and spatial data requirements. You will play a key role in producing high-quality plans and managing geographic data for both CWE and our clients., * Produce accurate maps and visualizations using GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Collect and compile geographic data from surveys, satellite imagery, and aerial photographs.
- Assist with Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments.
- Develop and maintain GIS databases and ensure data integrity through quality control checks.
- Collaborate with ecology, landscape architecture, and arboriculture teams to provide spatial analysis and mapping support.
- Work closely with Directors and Surveyors on day-to-day operations.
- Stay up-to-date with GIS technology and best practices.
- Produce high-quality plans for planning applications.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Time management?, * Essential:
- Degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field.
- Proficiency in QGIS/ ArcGIS or similar GIS software.
- Familiarity with GPS technology for data collection.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Desirable:
- AutoCAD experience.
