Job description
- Own the design and implementation of our core architecture and integrations.
- Build and enforce a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) across all platforms.
- Lead hands-on development of high-impact, complex components.
- Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and high-performing across retail stores, website, hospitality, and internal platforms.
- Architect for retail resilience, including store networking, SD-WAN, and low-latency environments.
Cloud, DevOps & Observability
- Manage cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Oversee platform monitoring, logging, metrics, and performance.
- Optimise cloud infrastructure for cost and efficiency.
Security & Compliance
- Own security implementation across all services, including OAuth2 / OIDC / Auth0.
- Lead compliance efforts for PCI-DSS, CIS Benchmarks, and ISO 27001.
- Ensure secure data flows across retail and e-commerce systems.
Requirements
We're looking for a hands-on Technical Developer with proven retail technology experience. This is essential and non-negotiable. You must understand the unique challenges of retail systems, store connectivity, in-store performance, and the integrations that power POS, WMS, loyalty, and e-commerce journeys.

You must have hands-on experience working with retail technology ecosystems= - including POS, store networks, WMS, inventory, CRM/loyalty, or similar.
Core Experience & Skills
- 8+ years in development/architecture roles in fast-paced or multi-channel businesses.
- Strong hands-on coding background and experience leading technical decisions.
- Deep knowledge of SOA, APIs, integration patterns, and event/queue-based communication.
- Strong experience with Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of networking and SD-WAN concepts for physical stores.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Adobe Commerce (Magento), Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or Shopify Plus.
- Proven experience implementing security standards and CIAM solutions.
