Job description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled IT and Network Technician to work within our busy support team. The role will support the functions and development of the College's computer systems, maintaining the highest possible standards in technical support for digital services. Provide an open, listening and responsive service to all users of these services.

The successful candidate will:-

As an IT & Network Technician, your fundamental responsibility is to provide comprehensive IT support to both staff and students, ensuring that all support requests received via the helpdesk are addressed promptly and efficiently. This enables the smooth functioning of teaching and learning activities, allowing users to focus on their core tasks without disruption.

You will monitor and respond to service desk tickets within the published service level agreements. Ensure that critical systems in the college are monitored and maintained, according to college policies. Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, analytical skills, problem solving and flexibility to cope with interruptions and changing priorities.

Knowledge of supporting & maintaining the following is essential:

  • Windows 10/11 desktop support
  • Windows Server support
  • Office 365 / Microsoft Office suite support
  • Microsoft Teams support
  • Azure Active Directory
  • Basic networking & troubleshooting
