Job description

Antar Information Technology Ltd are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable 1st and 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our Managed Services team. Established in 1984, Antar provide IT Managed Services, Cyber Security and Telecoms to our diverse range of SME clients. The successful candidate will be based at our offices in Sale, South Manchester and will work full-time Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm.

Duties:

This is a role that requires technical ability and good communication skills. You will be responsible for providing a high level of support to our clients (as well as our own internal systems).

Some of your duties will include:

· Configure and install various network devices and services (Draytek, Netgear, HP), routers, switches. Firewalls (Watchguard), VPN, QoS etc.

· Using our Remote Management and Monitoring platform to perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.

· Provide Level 1 and 2 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.

· Collaborate with our other engineers to ensure a high level of service delivery to our clients.

· Cloud based telephony/SIP trunks configuration and support.

· Site visits to clients where necessary.

· Contributing to the development of our operating procedures, knowledgebase and documentation.

· Managing and supporting ours and our client's Microsoft 365 tenancies and applications.

· Configuring and supporting internet and associated connectivity services.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, · Minimum of 2 years of experience in a 1st/2nd line support role

· Good knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, and HTTPS.

· Good understanding of Windows operating systems and server administration including AD, DHCP, DNS and Group Policies.

· Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMWare and HyperV.

· Good knowledge of cyber-security solutions (e.g. Sentinel One, BitDefender).

· This role involves frequent written and verbal communication; therefore, excellent English language skills are required.

· High attention to detail.

· Full UK driving licence plus own vehicle - Essential (we pay mileage and travel expenses for site visits)
