SuccessYour primary responsibility will be to:To use Claude code and/or other AI tools/frameworks in the development lifecycle, from the initial shaping of requirements through to deployment, and how they can be measured.Present and share case studies and work with wider IG Technology to showcase how the process can be made faster and more efficient without cutting corners.Lead a team of 9-10 senior AI engineers to deliver against expectations and to ensure their growth path and development are maintained throughout the journey.What you'll doBuild and lead a world-class engineering team, shaping a high-performance culture that thrives on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.rive hands-on engineering excellence across Java frameworks, leveraging AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery, boost productivity, and maintain the highest standards of code quality.Own and strategically prioriti an engineering opportunity backlog, partnering closely with divisional and Group stakeholders to deliver impactful services and scalable AI-driven solutions.Champion a high-performance engineering environment, fostering collaboration, technical mastery, and a mindset of continuous learning across the team.What you'll need for this roleProven hands-on Java coding experienceThe ability to identify and articulate real problems with a strong focus on execution.Knowledge of modern architecture, including microservices, APIs, and Cloud technologies and applying them in the daily jobHave a passion for coding and a measurement-driven approach.Excitement about AI-first development and engineering and contributing on it every day along with the AI engineers.An attitude to get things done, and walk the talkHow we workWe try to take a thoughtful approach to our ways of working as a company.
