Job description
We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of software projects across our digital healthcare platform. You'll be responsible for shipping high-quality web and mobile applications that directly impact patient care and experience.
This is a hands-on delivery role. You'll work with multi-disciplinary development teams in Bangalore and collaborate closely with UK-based product and clinical leadership to deliver software projects on time, within scope, and to a high standard. Healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential-what matters is your track record of successfully delivering complex software projects.
What You'll Do
Lead Software Project Delivery
- Plan, manage, and deliver software projects across web (Next.js/React.js), mobile (Flutter), and backend (AWS) platforms
- Translate product requirements and user stories into detailed, actionable Jira tickets with clear acceptance criteria
- Break down complex features into deliverable units of work that development teams can estimate and execute
- Own project timelines, dependencies, and deliverables from kick off through to production release
- Define clear acceptance criteria and ensure projects meet technical and healthcare compliance requirements
- Track and report on project progress, risks, and blockers to UK leadership
- Coordinate release planning and deployment activities with development and operations teams
Run Effective Scrum Teams
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews
- Lead backlog refinement sessions to groom, estimate, and prepare tickets for upcoming sprints
- Work with Product Owners to maintain and prioritise the product backlog
- Remove blockers and create an environment where the team can deliver at pace
- Coach teams on Agile best practices and continuous improvement
- Track sprint metrics (velocity, burn-down, cycle time) and drive team performance
Manage Multi-Disciplinary Teams
- Coordinate across developers, QA engineers, designers, and DevOps to ensure smooth collaboration
- Ensure quality is built into the process through embedded testing, code reviews, and QA cycles
- Bridge communication between Bangalore-based development teams and UK stakeholders across time zones
- Build strong working relationships and maintain team morale and engagement
Maintain Quality and Compliance
- Ensure robust testing practices, including functional, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Work with QA to establish and maintain quality gates throughout the development lifecycle
- Maintain project documentation for compliance, audit, and knowledge sharing purposes
- Identify and mitigate risks related to security, data protection, and patient safety
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory requirements and data security standards
