Job description
To support the delivery of our vision we have created a new position for a Database Controller who will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of the upcoming ERP system.
This is a global role, located in our UK office based in Birchwood, Warrington. You will be required to attend the Birchwood Office 2 days per week.
Database Controller
Role responsibilities for:
ERP Support
- Help prepare and clean product data before launching the ERP system
- Work with the ERP team to make sure data meets system requirements
- Control master data in Business Central and current Legacy ERP (NAVISON) and ensure it is correctly shared across locations
Data Quality & Governance
- Set rules for managing and protecting data
- Use tools like required fields and validation checks to keep data accurate
- Track data quality and improve it over time
Global Data Coordination
- Be the go-to person for master data across all company sites
- Make sure global standards are followed and help local teams with exceptions
Team Collaboration & Training
- Work with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to align data with business needs
- Train and support local data users
- Support reporting and analytics with the business
Compliance & Security
- Protect sensitive data and manage access in line with company policy
- Ensure all data handling follows GDPR and other regulations.
Requirements
- A proven track record in data management and ERP data migration.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics or Business Central.
- Proven experience in Master Data Governance in multi-site production & distribution organisation
- Experience with BI tools and reporting systems (Power BI, DAX, SQL, Advanced Excel) advantageous
- Experience in building or working with ETL tools is a must
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across departments, locations and countries.
