Responsibilities

• Week-to-week planning of the team and keeping all members accountable
• People management, coaching, and career development for direct reports
• Driving technical direction and ensuring projects meet scalability and robustness requirements
• Hands-on coding, deep involvement in architecture, and guidance on best practices

• Proven experience leading remote development teams
• Strong hands-on software development background
• Expertise in Java or Go, plus JavaScript and TypeScript for frontend
• Extensive experience building scalable applications
• Proficiency with monitoring tools such as NewRelic, Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus, and distributed logs (e.g., ELK)
• Experience with critical applications concerning performance, scalability, and security
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and relational databases
• Desirable: AWS and NoSQL knowledge
• Test-driven development mindset and strong Git version-control skills
• Excellent documentation skills
• Upper-intermediate English (Spanish is a plus)
