Job description
We are incorporating Senior Support Engineers to the teams on site in Barcelona of a client with a strong presence all around Europe., * Provision of ICT Service Desk first line support on Engineering Software client platform for incidents and requests from technical end-users (CAD, Analysis and Metrology);
- Provision of user workplace support services:
- Hardware: management of workstations, laptops and peripherals
- Software: installation and configuration of engineering software, and overall end-user support;
- Application support;
- Collaboration and provision of support to the day-to-day operations of the DT Unit;
- Provision of user support to other IT technologies the client might set-up during the execution of the contract.

Requirements
- University degree in computer science or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in performing tasks covering the technical areas below:
- Experience in an IT environment dealing with Engineering Software;
- Deep knowledge in the following technical areas: o Microsoft Windows technologies; o Hardware (workstations and laptops); o Configuration, administration and support of workstations, laptops and other shared resources in a network environment; o User administration, including aspects related to platform image creation and deployment, maintenance and updating, security and confidentiality.
- Good organizational and problem solving skills;
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team;
- Ability to focus on priorities and organize work as well as to deliver on time to agreed standards;
- Service-oriented attitude;
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills,
- Ability to interact effectively with client's representatives.
It's an asset
Knowledge of any of the following areas:
- Administration and support of engineering software (for example: CATIA, ANSYS, MATLAB, Python);
- Skills on Technical Data Management, administration and support of a PDM/PLM system;
- Linux administration; HPC for numerical analysis.
