The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated ICT Support Technician to join a growing and dynamic technology team during a period of innovation and transformation. You'll play a key role in supporting and maintaining IT systems, ensuring users experience reliable, secure, and efficient technology every day.

As part of an expanding ICT function, you'll have the chance to influence new initiatives, drive improvement, and play a hands-on role in shaping digital services. Your duties and responsibilities will be

  • Provide first and second-line technical support for all ICT systems and users.
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot user accounts, access rights, and security settings.
  • Install, configure, and maintain ICT hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Respond to and resolve helpdesk requests efficiently, escalating where necessary.
  • Support and administer key business systems and bespoke software applications.
  • Collaborate with third-party suppliers to ensure seamless IT operations.
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding process for users and ICT assets.
  • Maintain and update the ICT asset inventory with accurate records.
  • Document system changes, incidents, and resolutions in line with procedures.
  • Monitor information security compliance and report issues promptly.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to ICT systems and processes.
  • Assist with the rollout of ICT projects and business-wide technology initiatives.

Requirements

Proven experience delivering 1st and 2nd line ICT support.

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems, Office 365, and Active Directory
  • Good knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
  • Experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware and software.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and perform effectively under pressure.

I t's great if you also have the following

  • Familiarity with ITIL service management principles.
  • Experience supporting business or ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of information security standards (e.g. ISO27001).
  • Experience with mobile device management or remote desktop support.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or ITIL Foundation).
