Senior Principal Chief Engineer, Software - Aerospace

• Attends product life cycle reviews (PLC), verification board and nonconformance review board (NCR)
• Involved in Change Control Boards, provides guidance and technical approval of product offerings and bids
• Provides technology status reports, risk register, technology roadmaps, and trade studies
• Takes make-or-buy decisions and takes the customer point of view into account
• Defines efficient development under strict certification and/or qualification constraints, whilst ensuring product quality and performance
• Defends development and certification/qualification approach in front of customers
• Performs internal audits to ensure product quality and certification/qualification is on-track towards customer and products

Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * University degree in computer science, software engineering or another relevant field

• Proven experience in major Aerospace projects involving complex electronic systems, including hardware, chip IP, software, systems engineering, and/or product assurance
• 5+ years in a technical lead role within Aerospace avionics or systems engineering, with a strong focus on software certification
• Experience in working with complex safety related embedded system certification/qualification interfacing with authorities.
• Know-how in applying RTCA DO-178C, DO-330, DO-254, SAE ARP4754A, ESA ECSS-E-ST-10/40/50 and/or NASA NPR 7150.2D standards
• Excellent command of English, with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

We provide an attractive and performance-based salary, which is based on your qualifications and professional experience. This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade ("Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe") and we offer a minimum salary of € 70,000 gross per year. Actual compensation can be well above this standard.
