Requirements

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Landscape Architect to join our busy studio team in Bath. If you're a post-graduate Landscape Architect with an emphasis on good technical and design skills, with experience in using Revit 3D software for external works and capable of working independently and as part of our landscape team, we'd like to hear from you. This role could also be suited to an individual with a technical background who has completed a Landscape Technician Apprenticeship and is a Technician Member of the Landscape Institute (TMLI).

We need you to be motivated and well organised, with an ability to develop design sketch drawings into technical drawing packages, manage a 3D Revit site model in Autodesk BIM 360 shared environment as well as being able to produce presentation material. You'll need to have a high standard of written and verbal communication too with the ability to work collaboratively within a wider design team on multiple workstreams.

We are a Landscape Institute registered practice involved in a wide range of commissions from rural to urban settings working on a variety of project types, sectors and scales. We are engaged in all stages of design, contributing to early feasibility studies through to technical detailing and monitoring construction on site.

This role is for a 12-month fixed term position as maternity cover and will require you to be working on a large-scale complex campus project that is unique, innovative and exciting. It is necessary for you to have a significant amount of experience in 3D Revit and have the ability to manage models in a shared environment with multiple concurrent workstreams.

You will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of internal and external project team members and will be supporting the project runner and project landscape architects in developing the design, planning and implementation packages primarily through the use of Revit 24.

Through this role you will gain experience of the different work stages and production packages required for planning, tender and construction stages of projects. We will be able to help you develop your skills and offer further training and support in specific areas.

Essential skills

  • Demonstrate technical ability and strengths in external works and landscape projects
  • Proficiency in Revit 24 - able to work in 3D in a cloud-based construction management platform such as Autodesk BIM 360
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite Software (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Working collaboratively in a busy team environment and taking instruction from others
  • An ability to detail and provide technical support
  • Able to work independently with good time management and organisation skills
  • Be adaptable and flexible with design changes and progress

Desirable skills and experience

  • Experience of developing packages for planning applications, tender submission and site delivery
