The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you'll work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You'll be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services, as a Delivery Consultant you will be proficient in architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. You'll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS. As trusted advisors to our customers, providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions, you will be responsible for leading the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project., At AWS, we are hiring the best hands-on technical developers, who can help our clients and partners architect and re-architect their business-critical applications to take advantage of the global scale, elasticity, automation and high-availability features of the AWS cloud. Our consultants will collaborate with partner and client teams to deliver proof-of-concept projects, conduct topical workshops, and lead implementation projects. These professional services engagements will focus on customer solutions built with API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, SQS, Kinesis, and others.
As an experienced technology professional, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
- Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
- Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
- Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts
A day in the life AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience in large-scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in two or more of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Node.js, .NET, Python, PHP or Ruby.
- Experience as a technical specialist in Customer-facing roles.
- Experience managing and delivering large-scale IT projects including definition and execution of successful project controls on a large scal
- Knowledge of networking and access protocols such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, LDAP and Microsoft Active Directory Cloud Migration Project experience within domains of Applications, Data Center, OS, Database, or Servers
- French, English are required., * AWS experience preferred, with proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation)
- AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred
- Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python)
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Architecting, designing and developing applications on the AWS platform.
- Designing and building application using Container and serverless technologies.
- Experience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability.
- Exposure to Agile software development and DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g. Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation).
- Continuous Integration (CI) tools (e.g. AWS Code Pipeline, Jenkins, Gitlab, Circle-CI).
- Experience working directly with customers, partners or third-party developers.
- System Administration experience in an enterprise with large scale portfolios of legacy applications.
- Integration of AWS cloud services with on premise technologies from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP etc;
- Use of AWS services in distributed environments with Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP etc;
