Job description

Fixed Term or Secondment Opportunity* until July 2026 due to improvement in service delivery.

*Secondment Opportunity - Existing permanent employees must first discuss this opportunity with their substantive line manager and complete the secondment request form prior to interview. This fixed-term/secondment opportunity in the FVRH Radiology Department is ideal for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to take a lead role in the operational management and strategic development of the Radiology PACS and RIS systems for Forth Valley.

The post will enhance the resilience of the Diagnostic Radiology Department by supporting the delivery of a new Picture Archiving Communication solution, as well as contributing to the ongoing implementation of a new Radiology Information System.

Requirements

The successful candidate will demonstrate good operational, organisational and interpersonal skills. They will provide professional leadership and assist in the operational management to ensure a safe, effective, efficient patient centred imaging service within Forth Valley.

The successful candidate must demonstrate a sound knowledge of: IR(ME)R17, GDPR, Data resilience, and be educated to an advanced level in ICT systems. A Radiology background is vital for this role, as although technically based, the role requires an intimate knowledge of diagnostic imaging, diagnostic reporting, and Diagnostic Radiology.

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will be an experienced Radiographer in possession of the DCR and/or BSc/BSc(Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography and will hold a post graduate qualification in a specialist field. A well documented evidence of Continuing Professional Development is essential.
