Your role:

• You analyse the existing data and AI landscape, translate the "as is" situation into an ambitious but achievable goal, and develop a pragmatic approach to further develop our data and AI platforms, in collaboration with your IT colleagues.
• You define and implement best practices for data governance, AI ethics and data cataloguing, and ensure that these are adhered to by the team and the organisation.
• You manage a team of three data analysts. You monitor their work, both in terms of project deliverables and content quality.
• You will actively participate in the development of AI models, data pipelines and analytical solutions that create value for the company.
• You will provide insights and AI solutions that contribute to forecasting, optimisation, process automation and the identification of new business opportunities.
• You handle analysis and AI requests from key users and management, with an eye for standardisation, scalability and customer focus.
• You maintain and optimise the data and AI environment, decide on the deployment of new tools, frameworks or algorithms and supervise the transition to modern reporting and AI platforms (such as PowerBI, Azure ML, etc.).
• You translate ad hoc questions into inspiring projects that challenge the entire team to surpass themselves.
• You report to the CIO and work closely with key users, IT colleagues (functional and business analysts, database administrators, etc.) and external partners.
• You have ideas and dreams to help ECS evolve into a fully data-driven organisation, from capturing data via IoT to developing advanced AI solutions.
• You contribute to the security of systems and data, and integrate security and compliance into all data and AI processes

Do you have experience in SSRS?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * You have a master degree in computer science, economics, mathematics or engineering, or equivalent through experience.

• You have at least 8 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, AI or reporting, and are ready to take the step to team lead.
• You are communicative, curious and want to truly understand the business in order to provide the right data and AI solutions within our logistics and supply chain context.
• You have strong analytical skills and think abstractly and solution-oriented.
• You are an inspiring leader who motivates teams to work in a project-based, accurate and customer-oriented manner.
• You have a strong affinity with data analysis, statistics and AI.
• You have experience with databases, SQL, ETL processes, machine learning frameworks and cloud platforms (Azure, etc.).
• Knowledge of PowerBI and MS Fabric is a must. Knowledge of Qliksense, SSRS or other reporting tools is an asset.
• You speak and write fluent Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
