As System Integration Lead Outfitting and Structural (Interim) you will manage and coordinate all Verification and Validation (V&V) activities related to outfitting and structural engineering for Damen Naval's advanced shipbuilding projects. You will take the lead in ensuring seamless integration of systems, compliance with naval engineering standards, and timely delivery of subcontracted work packages., In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and submitting comprehensive Verification & Validation documentation.
- Leading and coordinating a multidisciplinary engineering team in outfitting and structural integration.
- Ensuring compliance with all technical specifications and contractual requirements.
- Coordinating the delivery, review, and approval of client documentation.
- Organising and facilitating Design Reviews and managing compliance issues.
- Preparing for and overseeing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Harbour Acceptance Tests (HAT), and Sea Acceptance Tests (SAT)
- Actively participating in FAT, HAT, and SAT to guarantee quality and compliance.
Requirements
This interim role requires an experienced professional with a background in shipbuilding, naval architecture, or complex engineering projects, ideally with hands-on knowledge of outfitting, interior, deck, and structural design. You will operate at the intersection of engineering and project management, safeguarding quality and efficiency throughout the entire process., We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum five years of experience in shipbuilding or related industries.
- In-depth knowledge of Plans & Arrangements, Outfitting, Interior & Deck and Structures.
- Fluent in English; German proficiency is a plus.
- Excellent references antecedents as a pre-assignment security screening is part of the recruitment procedure.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required.
- Candidates with EU (work) visa or with (also) a non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible given the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
