Job description

Systems Administrator Location: Lincolnshire (On-site 4-5 days/week) Start Date: January 2026 Rate: £450 - £500/day Outside IR35 Clearance: Active DV (mandatory) Contract Length: 6 months (initial)

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to support a newly deployed system within a critical operational environment. The role is fully on-site and requires strong experience in managing complex infrastructure and resolving high-priority system and connectivity issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyse system logs to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Apply operating system updates, security patches, and configuration changes.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.
  • Manage user accounts, including creation, modification, and password resets.
  • Provide technical support to users and respond to technical queries.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve reported system and network problems.
  • Optimise and tune system performance.
  • Ensure continuous availability and reliability of network infrastructure.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator in a complex IT environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with enterprise hardware, storage, networking, and security platforms.
  • Previous experience within a defence or highly secure environment is essential.

You will be required on-site 4-5 days per week in Lincolnshire and will need Active DV Clearance to be considered for this role.
