Job description
avecSys is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support Technician to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to go beyond the standard support position and make a real impact., * Infrastructure & Systems Support - Network maintenance, vendor coordination, adherence to IT security standards.
- Asset & Inventory Management - Tracking, lifecycle management, procurement coordination.
- Manage IT-related tasks exclusively for the client while on-site
- Meeting Room & AV Support - Setup, troubleshooting, and hybrid meeting assistance.
- Additional Services - Assistance with IT projects and documentation.
Office-based Responsibilities
For the rest of the week, you would be required to work in one of two offices, Bedford or our remote office in St. Albans, dealing with any such tasks rolled over from the London-based role and general remote IT support for our range of customers.
· Deliver high-quality remote & on-site support on various technical issues and problems.
· Adopt a hands-on problem-solving approach, resolving issues within strict SLA time frames.
· Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
· Assist with the implementation of new technologies and systems. Produce and keep up-to-date documentation on client systems.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to improve processes and systems.
· Respond appropriately to and effectively resolve client issues, queries or incidents.
· Driving license and willingness to travel between sites
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in macOS?, * A strong technical background

Proven experience in IT support or a similar role

Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS environments

Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, * Minimum of 2 years' experience providing IT Support in a commercial environment.

Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) would be advantageous.
