Job description

Your day to day role is to design and deliver solutions for BT's customers and will specialise in Data Centre technologies specifically Cisco ACI.

Our customers are generally external customers so you will be recognised with that enhanced level of visibility and responsibility.

What you'll be doing

You'll be working as part of a dedicated team that spans the globe. As a Specialist you'll be responsible for delivering Large to Complex designs.

Working with other designers you will be the design lead who will be expected to review all components and then deliver the overall design. You will have an expert knowledge of the overall design and will contribute to technical discussions within the team, leading others towards a better understanding and encouraging a dialogue to improve the design principles.

You will be required to impart your design principles towards a more senior level, shaping our future direction. We do great things for our customers, and we need all our people to put the customer first.

You will promote what we do and understand the customers' needs to relevant solutions., * Contracts

  • Access Policies including the following -
  • Pools, Domains and AAEPs
  • Policies and Policy Groups
  • Profiles and Selectors
  • Extending Layer 2 outside ACI using L2Outs, L3Outs
  • ACI integrations including vSphere using VDS and implementing Service Graphs

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of ACI hardware and topologies.
  • Experience of setting up an ACI fabric from scratch.
  • Experience in designing and implementing the following ACI logical and physical constructs:
  • Tenant building blocks including the following -
  • Tenants
  • VRFs
  • Bridge Domains
  • End Point Groups

Flexible Working

This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
