Job description

As a Domain Architect you are responsible for the IT architecture of a business domain at enterprise level. You work together on the corporate business capability map (what) linking to the (how) people, processes, data and systems realizing them. You work closely together with portfolio management to define Roadmaps based on the needs of the business and future target state architectures. In case of projects you assure the proper guidance within the established reference architecture and IT vision and strategy., * It's your responsibility to ensure that the architecture of the products you're assigned to is sound, well-understood and continues to evolve in a direction that best support the business case and follows the existing guardrails.

  • To a great extent, that means facilitating the architectural debate, ensuring the architectural decisions are made consciously and its trade-offs (or derived risks) are well understood, both internally (towards the involved teams) as externally (towards our client's stakeholders).
  • You're a key partner that works between business stakeholders, IT managers, enterprise architects, domain architects and delivery teams.
  • You ensure that the solution architecture is correctly implemented by validating the solution design and following up its implementation.
  • You also ensure knowledge is shared across your colleagues.
  • You evaluate project constrains to find alternatives, alleviate risks, and perform re-engineering if required.
  • You update stakeholders about any issues connected to the architecture.
  • You take care of the architectural analysis of epics.

  • You're always keen to learn new things, share your knowledge, embrace change and learn from past experiences. Drawing on a whiteboard to facilitate a debate comes natural to you.
