Systems Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to join programme has been focused on developing the UKs first Laser Directed Energy Weapon. We are looking for flexible and motivated candidates to continue to develop this programme into a world class, deployable, LDEW air defence system. The ambitious plans involve parallel and interleaved streams of groundbreaking technology, experimentation and rapid weapon system development, providing opportunities across the key weapon system domains of Systems Engineering: Requirements, Design, Performance analysis and Certification., You will be a Systems Engineer with any of the following skills and experience:

• Ability to analyse requirements and functional interface definitions, to
• generate detailed functional design documentation to articulate design
• need
• Conduct system design trade studies and propose design changes with
• detailed impact assessments
• Liaise with multi-disciplinary design team and external stakeholders to
• ensure accurate and coherent understanding of the system design
• Understanding of change management processes and point of
• embodiment management
• Support to development and maintenance of management plans
• Proven ability to develop excellent working relationships with partners and key
• stakeholders as well as team members and other departments.
• Passion and persistence to get a job done and done well.

Experience of tools e.g. DOORS/DOORS NG/Rhapsody is desirable Strong problem solving skills Ability to support technical mediation, communicating issues, architectures and ideas at all levels and to varying degrees of specificity. Ability to disseminate technical information to customers in an understandable manner. Have a delivery focussed attitude Shown ability to develop excellent working relationships with partners and key collaborators as well as team members and other departments.
