Senior Front End Engineer

The Platform team's mission is to enable fast flow and reduce cognitive load for development teams by providing starter libraries, application scaffolds and enablement support for modern software development., * Design & Build our UI Component Library: Lead the design and development of our reusable UI component library, ensuring it meets high standards of quality, accessibility, and performance while maintaining brand consistency.

• Evolve Front-End Scaffolding: Own and enhance our front-end application scaffolds (starter kits), ensuring new projects start from a standards-aligned foundation.
• Champion the Design System: Guide and support teams in their adoption of the design system and component library, providing hands-on enablement and using their feedback to improve the platform.
• Front end development: Where required, contribute to delivery of front end applications that fall within the platforms domain.
• Enable the Community: Create and maintain clear, effective developer documentation and training materials for our engineering community.

• Deep, practical experience as a Front-End Engineer, with a track record of delivering high-quality UI solutions in enterprise environments using React and Next.JS.
• Experience building and maintaining shared UI component libraries, design systems, and platform services (e.g., using Storybook).
• Experience with the modern front-end ecosystem, including TypeScript, package management (PNPM/Yarn)
• Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles, web accessibility and front-end testing strategies.
• Familiarity with Azure services and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, feature flags).
• Excellent command of English (both written and spoken).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
