Job description

Are you a security expert ready to shape our IT architecture? We're looking for a skilled lead Security Architect to join our Technology Architecture team here at Morrisons. You'll lead the design, strategy and assurance of robust security solutions across our business, ensuring they align with our Security Reference Architecture and enterprise wide goals.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the planning, design and governance of enterprise security architecture
  • Define security strategies, standards and roadmaps for key programmes
  • Shape secure by design practises across applications, infrastructure and DevOps
  • Conduct risk based assessments and threat modelling
  • Guide secure configurations (firewalls, WAFs, endpoint protection, IAM, Zero Trust)
  • Collaborate across tech, vendor and audit teams to strengthen security posture
  • Monitor emerging threats and continuously improve security frameworks

Requirements

We're looking for someone who has demonstrated experience in IT security, ideally within large complex environments, you will also have a strong background in designing Security Reference Architectures.

We're also looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise security tools
  • Sound knowledge of frameworks and standards (ISO27001, PCI-DSS, GDPR, NIST CSF, CIS)
  • Relevant qualifications, such as CISSP, CISA, BCS or similar
