Job description

Role Overview

Join a dynamic development team working on enhancing and extending a specialized IFRS17 accounting solution built on modern technologies. You will contribute to improving existing modules and implementing new features in a complex financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of the IFRS17 tool and its modules.
  • Develop improvements and new functionalities across actuarial, IFRS17 modeling, accounting postings, and consolidated reporting modules.
  • Implement unit and integration tests for all developments.
  • Collaborate with analysts to clarify data requirements and ensure accurate implementation.
  • Execute developments in test environments and analyze resulting data.
  • Document processes and maintain high-quality coding standards.

Required Profile

  • University degree in IT, Computer Science, or Data Engineering.
  • 4-6 years of experience as a Software Engineer in complex business environments (finance or risk preferred).
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with R and SQL (mandatory).
  • Experience with Power BI (Intermediate level).
  • Familiarity with unit and integration testing (Advanced level).
  • Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud, Azure Data Factory, and MS DevOps.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting (e.g., IFRS17).

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid work: 3 days onsite in Brussels, remaining days remote.
