Job description

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for embedded IoT systems
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define quality standards and acceptance criteria
  • Analyse system requirements and technical specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing on embedded platforms
  • Debug and troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues, reporting defects with detailed documentation
  • Set up and maintain test environments, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and simulation setups
  • Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies for embedded/IoT products
  • Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, sharing best practices and technical expertise
  • Participate in code reviews, risk assessments, and release planning to ensure product quality

Requirements

In this Senior Embedded QA Engineer role, you'll drive the testing of our IoT platforms end-to-end - from building test plans and running functional, regression, and system tests to troubleshooting integration issues with engineering teams., * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

  • Prior experience in QA/testing for embedded systems or IoT devices
  • Strong knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and IoT architectures
  • Proficiency in test automation for embedded platforms (e.g., Pytest)
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), simulation, and real device testing
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, BLE, LoRa, MQTT)
  • Solid understanding of software development and QA methodologies (Agile, CI/CD)
  • Experience with test management tools, defect tracking, and version control (e.g., Jira, Git)
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
