Job description

The Configuration & QA Analyst is a technical professional focused on maintaining and validating system configurations to support successful project delivery. This role is crucial in ensuring solutions meet quality and configuration standards by collaborating closely with engineering and delivery teams and adhering to established practices to deliver reliable, high-quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities include hands-on testing and validation of solutions to ensure they meet quality standards, supported by comprehensive documentation. The role also involves proactive communication with project teams, a focus on maintaining testing best practices, and accountability for the accuracy, reliability, and timely delivery of test results and quality assessments.

This position requires advanced expertise in platform configuration and quality assurance within digital health environments. The Configuration & QA Analyst is expected to demonstrate professionalism, take initiative in their work, and actively contribute to a collaborative, solution-oriented team culture.

Core Responsibilities:

General:

  • Collaborate on planning and implementing QA strategies for digital projects, emphasising configuration testing. Assess requirements and potential effects, and suggest testing methods and execution to guarantee high-quality results.
  • Assess issues/requests appropriately to manage challenges independently or escalate accordingly
  • Control and manage configuration changes within the organisation's systems and software
  • Verify and audit the configuration status of various components to ensure compliance with standards and requirements
  • Analyse and resolve Configuration Management issues, ensuring minimal impact on operations and projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other supporting teams to ensure the successful delivery of digital transformation projects
  • Support technical/internal meetings, prioritisation of Configuration & QA activities and delegation of tasks to appropriate resources
  • Support relationships with key stakeholders and communicate technical project progress and results internally and externally when required
  • Provide recommendations on the technical options for system configuration and QA
  • Contribution to the development of efficient processes for QA and configuration requests
  • Create and maintain documentation on configuration and product behaviours
  • Ensure executed solutions/configurations meet required standards
  • Ensure quality assurance meets required standards
  • Ownership of escalated issues: identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding clients through corrective steps
  • Report and communicate configuration information to relevant stakeholders, including management and project teams
  • Provide backup for the on-call support rota
  • Maintenance of the configuration repository

QA:

  • System testing to ensure delivery to the requested specification, in particular, smoke testing of the configuration before release for full QA
  • Create testing script scenarios, document and communicate configuration details to testers/clients to ensure those are understood, and the testing strategy is fit for purpose
  • Carry out thorough testing of reported bugs (internally escalated from the support team) and escalate accordingly to the engineering team
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test cases, capturing feedback, and documenting outcomes
  • Assist in maintaining a structured and reusable repository of test cases for regression and smoke testing
  • Contribute to defining and refining quality standards and best practices within the QA process

Integrations:

  • Support the integration projects with the configuration
  • Support Investigations around integration issues escalated from the help desk and escalate as necessary

Training & Management

  • Work closely with team members to support their growth and independence, and assist in the technical onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition into the team
  • Develop and maintain thorough documentation, actively sharing expertise through training, mentorship, and robust knowledge management.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Creation of project deliverables, proposals, requirements documentation, reports and presentations

Requirements

Do you have experience in Time management?, * A minimum of two years years experience in system configuration, setup, and maintenance of software applications

  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
  • Experience with writing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Experience in analysing system requirements and specifications to ensure proper configuration.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) for managing configuration changes..
  • Experience within workflow management, particularly within healthcare, is preferred
  • Ability to examine client workflows and requirements and provide appropriate solutions/guidance
  • Knowledge of regulatory or industry-specific compliance requirements within healthcare is highly advantageous

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external project stakeholders (i.e. implementation team, engineers/technicians, analysts and other non-technical subject matter experts) to ensure successful delivery., * software configuration: 2 years (required)

Our Recruitment Process

  • Once we have screened CVs we will reach out for a quick 5-10 minute call to find out a little more about you and confirm logistics.
  • The next stage is a 15-20 minute video call with the hiring manager and member of the HR team.
  • Our final stage is an in person interview, usually with a task to prepare and present back to the panel.
