• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\r\n

• 3 to 4 years minimum commercial PHP development experience.\r\n

• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and SOLID principles.\r\n

• Solid knowledge of secure coding practices (e.g.\n\nOWASP).\r\n

• Experience with modern PHP frameworks (preferably Laravel or Symfony).\r\n

• Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL) and writing performant queries.\r\n

• Comfortable working with Git, Composer and modern development workflows.\r\n

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.\r\n, r\n \r\n

• Familiar with Agile / Scrum methodologies.\r\n

• Experience writing automated tests (PHPUnit/PEST).\r\n

• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).\r\n

• Experience with Docker and containerised development environments.\r\n

• Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React or similar).\r\n

I am searching for an experienced and enthusiastic PHP Developer for an exciting business based in South Devon.\n\nYou will ideally be a Middleweight to Senior Developer experienced in developing bespoke software solutions from stakeholder driven business requirements. \r\n

In this position you will play a key role in developing and maintaining a range of business-critical applications, websites and system integrations. \r\n

The role is offered on a hybrid working basis, 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week working from home.\n\n

The office is based near to Newton Abbot, Chudleigh, Ashburton and Buckfastleigh - its easily accessible from the A38.\r\n

To be considered for the role you will need to be located within a commutable distance of the office, or you will be able to relocate to the area at short notice. \r\n

In this role you will be responsible for: - \r\n \r\n

• Developing bespoke software and middleware solutions to support and help grow business operations.\r\n
• Deliver high-quality, secure code using modern and best practice approaches.\r\n
• Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.\r\n
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues across development environments.\r\n
• Mentoring more junior team members, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.\r\n
• Staying current with industry trends, frameworks and emerging technologies.\r\n
