Job description
In this role, you will own our MuleSoft integrations across countries, ranging from customer-facing integrations (alarm management, journaling systems, reporting systems) to internal business system connections (NetSuite, Salesforce, etc.). You'll work hands-on, while also shaping patterns, standards, and reusable components. You'll collaborate closely with colleagues in the Netherlands and Finland to align integration practices and gradually build an internal integration capability that reduces reliance on external partners. Your work will include
- Designing and developing MuleSoft integrations end to end
- Creating integration patterns, reusable components, and documentation standards
- Improving ways of working and contributing to refinement (ProductBoard * Jira)
- Mentoring future internal developers as we grow the integration team
- Working with architects and stakeholders across NL and Finland
- Supporting the transition away from external MuleSoft providers over time
- Helping ensure integrations are reliable, maintainable, and scalable
The role is hybrid, with regular collaboration days in Zoetermeer, and includes travel to Finland for cross-country architecture and planning sessions. Why you will love it:

Requirements
- Strong hands-on MuleSoft development experience
- A solid understanding of integration architecture and API-led connectivity
- Experience with REST/SOAP, OAuth2, and event-driven or async patterns
- A structured, calm, and pragmatic working style
- Ability to work well in cross-country teams and communicate clearly
- Understanding of cloud environments and DevOps practices (bonus)
- Dutch proficiency preferred, strong English language skills required
