Data Engineer

• We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to strengthen the team that forms the essential foundation for all our data intelligence activities. This is your opportunity to work at the intersection of media, entertainment, and cutting?'edge data technology., * Develop and maintain data pipelines and transformations in SQL and Python (or equivalent).
• Process large volumes of data (streaming & batch) in a modern, cloud?'based environment.
• Implement and optimize data flows from various sources.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Monitor, debug, and improve existing infrastructure.
• Contribute to RTL's continued data?'driven development.
• You will be working with a modern, cloud?'native stack in our Azure data environment, leveraging best?'in?'class tools, including: Snowflake, Azure Blob, DBT, Airflow, Databricks and dltHub.
• Our platform is further enhanced by technologies like Kubernetes, Terraform, and Docker, maintained by our dedicated Platform Engineering team, allowing you to focus on high?'impact data solutions.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing (star schema, incremental loading).
• Excellent SQL skills (CTEs, window and aggregations functions) and experience with ELT/ETL data streams.
• Experience with object?'oriented programming, version control, debugging, and monitoring.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies, strong communication skills.
• Based in the Netherlands.
• Nice to have: experience with Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, CI/CD, APIs, cloud storage, and GitHub.
