AWS Cloud Engineer - 2nd Line Support (Contract) \nLocation : 4 days Office based in Central London, 1 day remote\nContract Length : 6 Months\nRate : £250 - £270 per day (Inside IR35)\nStart : ASAP\nAre you an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer looking for your next contract? We're seeking a talented 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a busy team and play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising in a cloud environment.\nWhat You'll Do\n
- Provide 2nd line support across AWS cloud infrastructure and associated services\n
- Troubleshoot incidents, service interruptions, and performance issues\n
- Support deployments, configuration, and maintenance of cloud resources\n
- Work closely with 3rd line, DevOps, and architecture teams to resolve complex issues\n
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, security policies, and best practices\n
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to process improvements\nRequired Skills & Experience\n
- Strong hands-on AWS experience (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.)\n
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of Linux / Windows administration\n
- Experience with networking fundamentals (DNS, routing, load balancing, firewalls)\n
- Familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools\n
- Understanding of CI / CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows\n
- Proven background in 2nd line / operational support roles\n
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills\nNice to Have\n
- AWS Certifications (Associate or above)\n
- Experience supporting containerised environments (ECS / EKS / Docker)\n
