Job description
We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Engineer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures.
This is a remote role within the UK, offering long-term career growth and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud initiatives., * Design, implement, and manage cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Build and automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD methodologies.
- Configure and maintain core GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL, GKE, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to define best practices.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
- Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and provide technical guidance across teams.
- Ensure cloud solutions follow compliance, security, and governance standards.
Requirements
Do you have experience in VPN?, * 1-10 years of professional experience in cloud engineering or similar roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficiency with Terraform (or other IaC tools).
- Experience with Kubernetes / GKE, Docker, and container orchestration.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPC, firewalls, load balancers, subnets, VPNs).
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build, or similar.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Good understanding of cloud security best practices, IAM, and role-based access control.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
