Job description

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Engineer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures.

This is a remote role within the UK, offering long-term career growth and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud initiatives., * Design, implement, and manage cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Build and automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD methodologies.
Configure and maintain core GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL, GKE, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub.
Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and security.
Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to define best practices.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and provide technical guidance across teams.
Ensure cloud solutions follow compliance, security, and governance standards.

Requirements

Do you have experience in VPN?, * 1-10 years of professional experience in cloud engineering or similar roles.

Strong hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Proficiency with Terraform (or other IaC tools).
Experience with Kubernetes / GKE, Docker, and container orchestration.
Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPC, firewalls, load balancers, subnets, VPNs).
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build, or similar.
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Good understanding of cloud security best practices, IAM, and role-based access control.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
