Job description
We're looking for a Senior Software Developer who likes to work close to real customer problems and build practical, well-crafted solutions.You'll work directly with the founder and early team, shaping how our product works, how our system grows, and how customers experience RemoteSolar from day one.
There's significant ownership, and as we grow, the path toward a tech-lead or engineering leadership role is open if you want it.
What You'll Do
- Build and improve core features of our Ruby on Rails platform
- Work end-to-end: understand the problem, design, implement, iterate
- Turn customer needs and business priorities into clear technical decisions
- Collaborate closely with team members across product, operations, and marketing
- Ensure stability, performance, and reliability of our system
- Contribute to architecture, tooling, and development practices
- Keep a practical mindset: ship, learn, adjust Focus on delivering real value to customers, + Work closely with the founder, take responsibility, and influence decisions beyond engineering.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Software development?, * 5+ years of professional software development
- Strong experience with Ruby on Rails
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
- Practical, solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to understand the "why," not just the "what"
- Clear communication and cross-team collaboration
- Located within ±2 hours of CET
- English proficiency; basic German understanding Interest in growing with the company (leadership optional)
