  • Implement resilient infrastructure patterns for spiky traffic, low-latency processing, and real-time updates.
  • Ensure smooth mobile experiences by optimizing load balancing, caching, and auto-scaling strategies to support large-scale, dynamic workloads.

D) CI/CD & Deployment Excellence

  • Own and evolve our CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications and backend services, automating build, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Ensure secure and efficient release management for Google Play Store and Apple App Store, maintaining compliance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline delivery cycles, increase release frequency, and reduce time to market.

E) Containerization & Orchestration

  • Lead our containerization and Kubernetes (GKE) strategy, managing clusters for scalability, monitoring, and fault tolerance.
  • Oversee container image design, deployment workflows, and microservices orchestration, ensuring optimal performance and maintainability across all environments.

F) Monitoring, Observability & Reliability

  • Establish best practices for observability, logging, and monitoring using tools like Datadog, Grafana, or Google Cloud Operations Suite.
  • Implement proactive alerting, incident response protocols, and root-cause analysis processes.
  • Drive a culture of reliability engineering, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime across all systems.

G) Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Infrastructure and DevOps team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, security, and product teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Establish clear operational metrics (SLA, SLO, and KPIs) and champion continuous improvement across the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Operations, or DevOps, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - strong command of GKE, Compute Engine, IAM, Cloud SQL/Spanner, and networking services.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and multi-cloud integrations.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and modern CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Cloud Build, Jenkins, or Fastlane).
  • Deep understanding of containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes orchestration, especially in GKE environments.
  • Experience managing backend infrastructure for mobile applications (iOS & Android), including deployment processes and compliance with app store guidelines.
  • Strong database administration knowledge (SQL and NoSQL) with a focus on reliability, performance, and security in cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills - able to engage effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) is mandatory for global collaboration.

Bonus Points:

  • Certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer.
  • Experience implementing observability practices, FinOps strategies, or advanced GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Run).
