QA & Test Automation Engineer - Hybrid (Guadalajara, MX)

Drive quality excellence across the data and analytics ecosystem by establishing a robust test automation framework. You'll ensure reliability, accuracy, and performance of data pipelines and BI assets through end-to-end automated validation and continuous testing integration. Key Outcomes

• Automated test coverage across data pipelines and semantic models
• Performance and failover testing frameworks integrated in pre-production
• Quality gates embedded into CI/CD with regression suites for critical assets

Core Responsibilities

• Define the overall testing strategy, environment setup, and automation frameworks.
• Implement unit, integration, and contract tests for pipelines, semantic models, and BI components.
• Develop data validation suites for schemas, referential integrity, and KPI thresholds.
• Conduct performance, load, and failover testing to ensure platform reliability under stress.
• Maintain synthetic datasets and masking patterns for secure non-production environments.
• Collaborate with engineers to triage issues, remediate defects, and continuously improve quality standards.

• 5+ years in QA or Test Automation for data-driven or cloud-based platforms
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with hands-on experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with data quality testing frameworks and performance testing in Azure environments
• Excellent communication and documentation discipline
