• Represent schools in partnerships and provide 2nd and 3rd-level support.
• Analyze IT processes and ensure compliance with security standards., The Secondary School and Vocational Education Office (MBA) is the competence and service center for vocational education, grammar schools, higher vocational education, and continuing education in the canton of Zurich. We support and supervise secondary schools, vocational schools, providers of preparatory vocational years, and training companies. The 60 employees of the Digital Service Center Sek II provide services in this environment to support administrative and pedagogical-didactic processes for over 60,000 users of more than 40 cantonal schools as well as for other institutions in the secondary education system.

In this versatile environment, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a Cloud System Engineer for the M365 team in the Support and Operation area with a workload of 80-100%, limited until the end of June 2029.

Your area of responsibility

• Design, implementation, and operation of IT services based on Microsoft Azure Cloud and M365 to support the cantonal secondary schools.
• Representation of the schools towards partners and suppliers as a competent interface for our services as well as for 2nd and 3rd level support within the involved projects
• Close collaboration and coordination with other teams and areas of the Digital Service Center Sek II to ensure high service quality and efficiency.
• Participation and leadership of projects for the introduction of the new ICT basic supply for schools as well as for the optimization, further development, and simplification of the IT service portfolio
• Analysis of existing IT processes and systems and continuous optimization to improve service quality and increase efficiency.
• Responsibility for compliance with and continuous improvement of IT security standards in Microsoft Cloud Services in cooperation with the Office for Informatics.
• Development and implementation of technical concepts as well as continuous maintenance and updating of system documentation to increase efficiency.

• You have an IT degree and extensive experience with cloud technologies.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills and familiarity with educational processes.
• Excellent communication and social skills with a results-oriented approach., You have completed training in the field of computer science and bring solid, several years of experience in cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure, M365 (Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint).

• Good knowledge of PowerShell scripting (including Microsoft Graph commands).
• Knowledge of processes in the education sector is helpful.
• Committed and reliable personality who does not lose focus even in challenging situations.
• Result-oriented working style combined with high social competence and communication skills.
• Certifications such as ITIL or HERMES are an advantage.
