Job description
We are looking for a Network Engineer with a strong interest in cybersecurity. You will help to shape and deliver our next-generation of secured internet solutions for enterprise customers. Working closely with B2B marketing and pre-sales, you will contribute to designing, testing and enhancing services that bring real value to our customers. You will collaborate with other technical teams to ensure the seamless integration of the enterprise solutions in existing network infrastructure and IT tools.
Your Duties:
- Support the design, deployment, and evolution of Salt's network security solutions for enterprise clients.
- Work with B2B marketing to transform market needs and customer insights into tangible technical features.
- Communicate effectively with sales and pre-sales teams, explaining technical solutions and providing guidance on how to evaluate at best customer needs.
- Participate in vendor evaluations, run proof-of-concepts, compare capabilities, and document recommendations.
- Build and test network and security architectures in lab environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Provide support to other technical and non-technical teams to investigate network and customer issues
- Develop scripts and automation to improve provisioning, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
- Produce clear technical documentation: design guides, test plans, and process documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new network security capabilities into Salt's enterprise offering.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, with a focus on secure connectivity, cloud security, and Zero Trust principles.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Good technical foundation in networking (routing, switching, segmentation, DNS, DHCP, IP architecture).
- Understanding of core cybersecurity concepts such as firewalls, VPNs, threat detection, and identity-based security.
- Familiarity with SD-WAN and/or SASE technologies or vendors (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Versa, Palo Alto, Check Point) is an advantage.
- Comfortable with scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate tasks and improve workflows.
- Curious, hands-on, and motivated to learn new technologies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with both technical and customer-facing teams.
- Very good oral and written communication in English. French and German are a plus.
