This is a hybrid role, combining technical transformation leadership, client-facing engagement, and site management responsibilities. The role bridges offers overarching strategic vision of our technology with the delivery focus of a Director of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), ensuring operational excellence, cloud transformation, and alignment with business objectives.

The Site Leader will oversee the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Infrastructure Operations functions, managing outsourced data centres and cloud migration projects on AWS ecosystem. Acting as both a local leader and technical authority, this person will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical systems while fostering innovation and collaboration across teams., * Execute and oversee the management of outsourced data centers ensuring strong security/compliance alignment.

  • Drive and oversee the tech transformation projects including cloud readiness, cloud migration to AWS ecosystem.
  • Establish and maintain SRE best practices, ensuring reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Act as the executive leader on site, ensuring effective communication between global and local teams.
  • Drives a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement and customer obsession
  • Oversee and optimize relationships with outsourced data center and technology partners.
  • Negotiate service levels, ensure compliance, and manage vendor performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Product, Security, and Operations) to ensure delivery of best-in-class services
  • Serve as a technical and commercial interface with key enterprise clients in the DACH region.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes for customers and executives.
  • Represent Brainloop and Diligent at customer meetings, industry events, and executive briefings.

Requirements

Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * 10+ Years' experience in Build and Release Engineering/ Site Reliability.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Math, or related field.
  • Proven experience managing outsourced data center services, operations and hands-on experience leading large-scale migration programs in AWS ecosystem.
  • Strong vendor management and contract oversight experience.
  • Executive-level client-facing capability and comfort representing the company in high-stakes settings.
  • Strong people leadership skills, with experience managing and developing technical teams.
  • Fluent in German and English.

Preferred Experience/Skills

  • Experience within AWS or an AWS Partner organization
  • Previous experience in a technology transformation leadership
