Join our team as an IT Site Support Engineer, providing hands-on technical support to end-users at a laboratory site in Livingston. As part of our global IT organization, you will serve as the local IT presence at a laboratory site, providing deskside support and facilitating the maintenance of local network and server infrastructure. Your role ensures smooth IT operations for both office and lab environments, supporting scientific research and compliance requirements, while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and regulatory standards., * Provide deskside support for PCs, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues, including Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
- Support lab-connected devices and instrument control systems
- Act as hands-on support for local network and server infrastructure
- Perform basic maintenance tasks (patching, monitoring, rebooting under guidance).
- Assist with hardware installations, cabling, and rack organization.
- Coordinate with global IT teams for escalations and infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with scientists and lab staff to minimize downtime during experiments.
- Assist with IT asset management (inventory, deployment, recovery).
- Document incidents and resolutions accurately, following regulatory and internal standards.
- Provide training to end-users when indicated.
- Provide guidance to less experienced Service Desk staff in areas such as problem resolution, communication, etc.
- Adhere to site safety protocols and PPE requirements when working in controlled environments.
- Participate in occasional after-hours support as required.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and basic networking.
- Familiarity with Active Directory (password resets, account management).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- IT certifications (ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A+) preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience.
